One stinking yard.

The Titans had already come back from a 16-point deficit to tie the game in the fourth quarter. And what did Kirk Warner and his grocery baggin’ arm do? Take the lead with less than two minutes to go.

But it was all good. The road to Super Bowl XXXIV was miraculous for the Titans. They’d performed a miracle against the Bills and every soul watching in that high school locker room on a cold January night knew they could do it again, including me.

Super Bowl XXXIV came down to the last play. McNair took the snap at the ten yard line and threw it to a slanting Kevin Dyson. Stretching as he was tackled at the legs by the opposing linebacker, Dyson was one yard short. To this day it is still considered the longest yard.

Yes, I remember that game. More importantly, I remember where I was and who I was with.
